Processing of personal data

What do we mean by personal data?

Personal data is any kind of information that can be linked directly or indirectly to a natural person, for example names, personal identity numbers, postal addresses and email addresses. The Personal Data Act (1998:204) contains rules for how personal data may be processed.

FI processes personal data received via our website when you register for an FI Forum or some other type of seminar, subscribe to website content via email or apply for a job via the website.

The right to request information

Under Section 26 of the Personal Data Act, you have the right once every calendar year to request information on the personal data concerning you that has been processed at FI regardless of whether this data has been collected via the websites or in some other manner. If you would like to receive this information, you must submit a signed request to us. Under the Personal Data Act, the request must be on paper and cannot be sent via email.

The right to request rectification

Under Section 28 of the Personal Data Act, you have the right to request rectification if FI has processed information about you in an improper manner.
