FFFS 2014:11

Finansinspektionen’s general guidelines regarding consumer credit

In force from 2014-07-01

Summary

Due to the new method for calculating pre-payment penalties in section 36 of the Consumer Credit Act (2010:1846), Finansinspektionen is issuing new general guidelines. Their purpose is to guide companies on how they should calculate the pre-payment penalty based on the interest rate in mortgage bonds and thus promote a unified application of the provision of the act. Finansinspektionen's general guidelines (FFFS 2011:47) regarding consumer credit have been transferred more or less unchanged, with the exception of some language-related adjustments.

The general guidelines shall enter into force on 1 July 2014, whereupon the general guidelines (FFFS 2011:47) regarding consumer credit shall be repealed.
