Regulations regarding information about life insurance and occupational pensions

Repealed 2012-04-01 see FFFS 2011:39

Summary

The regulations regulate how insurance undertakings shall provide information about life insurance and occupational pensions to policy holders, the insured and anyone offered an insurance policy. The regulations specify the information that shall be included and when the information shall be provided.

The Insurance Business Act, the Insurance Contract Act and the Distance Contract Act place requirements on the undertakings to provide information prior to the purchase as well as during the term of the insurance policy. The information, in a clear and accurate manner, must provide an adequate explanation of the policy's terms and conditions and value trends. The regulations also say that undertakings with a policy for collective consolidation must provide clear information about this policy and regularly provide information about changes and deviations. The undertakings shall also provide information when an insurance policy's value is being transferred from one insurance undertaking to another.

The changes made to the regulations consist entirely of adaptations to the new Insurance Business Act. The regulations repeal FFFS 2003:7.
